With so many stunning locations around Vancouver—and an endless number of Pinterest boards and Instagram saves—it can feel overwhelming trying to decide where to go.
So, where do you start?
We always encourage our couples to think about what truly inspires them. Are you avid travellers or homebodies? Do you love the mountains and the ocean, or do you feel most at home wandering through the city?
The best engagement photos are often created in places that feel meaningful to you. Choosing a location that reflects your personalities will make your images feel even more authentic.
We also recommend selecting a location with plenty of variety. A spot that offers both ocean views and lush forests, or a combination of cityscapes and natural scenery, allows us to create a diverse gallery while making the most of your session.

What to Wear for Your Engagement Photos

Not sure what to wear? You're certainly not alone.
These photographs will likely find their way onto your wedding website, save-the-date cards, and framed prints in your home, so choosing outfits that feel authentic to you is key.
Here are a few tips:
Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Whether it's a flowing dress, tailored suit, chic denim and a white shirt, or even a couture bridal gown, confidence always photographs beautifully.

That being said, overcast days are equally stunning. Think of clouds as nature's diffuser - they soften the light beautifully and create flattering portraits from every angle.
Whenever possible, we recommend scheduling your engagement session on a weekday. Popular Vancouver locations can become busy on weekends, and choosing a quieter day allows for a more relaxed and intimate experience.

Props and Personal Details

Thoughtful details can add personality and tell your story in a meaningful way.
Whether it's a bouquet, a picnic setup, a vintage car, a bottle of champagne, or your favourite coffee shop, incorporating elements that are special to the two of you can make your engagement session even more memorable.
